Cicada Wrap

Garden Spider wraps a cicada along the Phinizy Swamp trail.

This was an amazing sight. If you know how big cicadas are,
you will have an appreciation for the size of this spider. I
wasn't able to achieve great focus with my little camera, but
this picture captures the action and the energy of this age-old
struggle quite well.

First Garden Spider of 2005

Here is the first Garden Spider (a very young one), that I've seen at Phinizy Swamp this year.
